How we handle and protect intellectual property rights
Our Stance on Copyright
MediaMate Hub respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (DMCA, 17 U.S.C. § 512), the European Union Copyright Directive (2019/790), and other applicable international copyright legislation, we will respond expeditiously to valid notices of claimed copyright infringement.
No Affiliation
MediaMate Hub is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to YouTube LLC, Google LLC, or any of their subsidiaries. We do not claim any rights over the trademarks or intellectual property of any third party. References to third-party platforms are made solely for the purpose of identifying the source of publicly accessible content.
Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice
If you are a copyright owner or an agent thereof, and you believe that any content accessible through our service infringes upon your copyrights, you may submit a notification pursuant to the DMCA by providing our Designated Copyright Agent with the following information in writing:
- A signature (physical or electronic) of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
- Identification of the copyrighted work(s) claimed to have been infringed, or, if multiple copyrighted works are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works at that site.
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed, or access to which is to be disabled, and information reasonably sufficient to locate the material. You must provide the exact URLs generated by our service.
- Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact you, such as a postal address, telephone number, and, if available, an electronic mail address.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
Action Taken Upon Receipt
Upon receipt of a valid DMCA notice, we will take immediate action to blacklist the requested URLs from being processed by our tool. Since our service does not host or store any files on its infrastructure, we cannot delete content from the internet or from third-party platforms. However, we will prevent our service from resolving, processing, or converting those specific URLs in the future.
Counter-Notification
If you believe that material you posted was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification with our Designated Copyright Agent. The counter-notification must include: (1) your physical or electronic signature; (2) identification of the material removed and its URL; (3) a statement under penalty of perjury that the removal was a mistake; (4) your name, address, phone number, and consent to jurisdiction.
Repeat Infringer Policy
In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable law, MediaMate Hub has adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion, users who are deemed to be repeat infringers. We also, at our sole discretion, limit access to the Service and/or terminate the accounts of any users who infringe any intellectual property rights of others, whether or not there is any repeat infringement.
